Security & Fraud Alerts — Protecting Our Customers
If you’ve ever booked an inspection with us, or logged into inspection.ae to check a report, you already know how much we rely on that relationship being built on trust. Unfortunately, that trust is exactly what scammers try to exploit and over the past couple of years, we’ve seen a rise in people posing as Tawasul agents, testing staff, or booking representatives across Dubai and the wider UAE. This page exists to help you tell the difference between us and them.

What's actually going on
Most of the scams we hear about follow a similar pattern. Someone reaches out claiming to represent Tawasul, often through WhatsApp or a phone call, and asks for a “processing fee” or “certification charge” that isn’t part of our actual process. Sometimes they’ll promise to guarantee a passing result if you pay them directly. Other times, they’ll send a booking link that looks almost identical to inspection.ae, just to get your documents or payment details.
None of this reflects how we actually operate, and we want every customer to know exactly what to expect from us and what we’d never ask of you.
How to tell it's really us
A few simple habits go a long way here. Always go to inspection.ae or tawasulservice.com directly rather than clicking a link someone’s sent you — even if it looks legitimate. We don’t take payments into personal accounts or through cash collectors outside our official channels, and any inspection or test report we issue will show up in your inspection.ae account. If a certificate lands in your inbox but isn’t there when you check the platform, that’s a red flag worth acting on.
It’s also worth knowing who we actually are on paper: Tawasul Testing & Inspection Services is registered with the Dubai Department of Economic Development, and we operate as an ISO/IEC 17020:2012 accredited inspection body under the Emirates International Accreditation Centre. We’re also a longstanding partner with Dubai Municipality on registration and compliance work. None of that changes day to day, so if someone claiming to work with us can’t speak to it, that’s worth questioning too.
Patterns worth watching for
We’ve noticed a handful of tactics come up again and again:
- Someone offering to guarantee a result in exchange for an extra, informal payment
- Booking pages that look like ours but sit on a slightly different domain
- Phone calls asking for your Emirates ID, trade license, or full card number
- People outside our offices offering to “speed things along” for cash
If any of that sounds familiar, treat it with caution and go straight to our official channels to check.
If something feels off
Don’t send payment or hand over documents until you’ve checked directly with us email info@tawasulservice.com for general questions or technical@tawasulservice.com if it’s inspection-related. If money has already changed hands, it’s worth reporting to Dubai Police through their app or official channels. And if it involves someone falsely claiming certification or inspection authority, Dubai Municipality and the EIAC are the right bodies to flag it to as well.
A few common questions
Is inspection.ae the only place to book with you?
Yes, all bookings, results, and account access run through inspection.ae and tawasulservice.com. We don’t work through any third-party booking platforms.
Can a result be changed after it’s been issued?
No. Once an inspection or test is complete, the result is final and can’t be altered by staff, agents, or the customer themselves.
Would you ever ask for payment outside the platform?
No, every payment goes through our verified channels, and we’d never ask you to pay someone directly or send money to a personal account.
How do I know you’re actually accredited?
We’re registered under Dubai’s Department of Economic Development and hold ISO/IEC 17020:2012 accreditation through the Emirates International Accreditation Centre — happy to provide documentation if you’d like to see it directly.
