Information Security
Security isn’t an afterthought for us. Because inspection.ae holds company records, vehicle details, and inspection documents for businesses across the UAE, we treat information security as a core part of how the platform is built and run, not a box we tick once and forget.
Our approach to information security
We structure our information security practices around the principles set out in ISO/IEC 27001, the international standard for information security management. This means we approach security as an ongoing process of risk assessment, control implementation, and review, rather than a one-time setup.
How your data is protected
Data sent to and from inspection.ae is encrypted in transit. Stored data, including account details, vehicle records, and uploaded documents, is held on secured infrastructure with restricted access. We take regular backups so that data can be recovered in the event of a technical failure.
Access controls
Access to customer data is restricted to staff who need it to do their jobs, following the principle of least privilege. Admin and staff accounts are permission-based, and access can be revoked immediately if a role changes or an account is no longer needed.
Monitoring and incident response
We monitor the platform for unusual activity and have a process in place for responding to security incidents, including containing the issue, assessing the impact, and notifying affected customers and relevant authorities where we’re required to do so by UAE law.
Keeping the platform up to date
We apply security updates and patches to the software and infrastructure behind inspection.ae on an ongoing basis, and periodically review the platform for vulnerabilities.
Third parties we work with
Where we rely on third-party providers, such as accredited laboratories for outsourced testing or infrastructure providers for hosting, we only work with vetted partners and expect them to handle data responsibly.
